i have siemens intel p2 333 mhz i want to know why my cpu speed in my computer properties is gonna decrease?

some time i open it and i saw 295 seldomly 299 or some times 332 why?

is this computer a laptop? does it have speed step technology? if it does then you are probably seeing the variable speeds that the processor is automatically applying.
