Yes. The CIA experimented with such methods as electroshock therapy and drugs during the Cold War. It is still debated whether any Manchurian Candidates were actually created, but it seems unlikely, at least in the cases of such assassins as Lee Harvey Oswald.

It's really easy to do with ignorant people or folks that have such screwed up lives, they're easy to "lead". Look at Scientology, branch davidians or those idiots that offed themselves so the aliens riding in haley's comet's tail would pick up their soals on the way by!

It depends by what you mean by "mind control". Do you mean beaming your thought commands into someone else's mind so that they act like zombies and do exactly as you command? Nope - I don't think that exists outside of movies or cartoons.

Do you mean influencing someone else's behavior so that they act in ways that might not be the best for their own welfare, but makes you happy? Oh, yeah. Just ask any person who's been psychologically abused by a spouse or partner. Or any timid kid who's bullied by someone on the playground. That happens all the time.

OF COURSE THERE IS!

Mostly indirectly by using certain words or phrases like reverse psychology, and subliminal messages!

If someone is even a little bit weak minded they can be controlled and made to do anything. Which is why so many people get stuck in abusive controlling realtionships...bottom line is that you need to know exactly what to say and how to word it and you can get anything you want!

Yes. It happens to everyone at different levels and intensities through various methods. Advertisers do it all the time. If you can be frighten into doing something you wouldn't normally do on your own, then fear has controlled your mind. Doesn't have to be bad - don't mean it'll be good either - it does, however, happen.

Yes, but I prefer to call it the Scare Tactic. The government uses it, the media uses it...hell, even your parents use it. If what they say can influence the way you act, talk, feel, etc...isn't that mind control?
