My wife has driven from Texas to Chicago, Texas to Idaho, exas to Virginia (x5) alone or with our child while I have been on deployment. We have good rules for this, she must have the cell phone on, she must call at least once a day and check in with a family member, no picking up hitch hickers and she wears a whistle when she gets out of the car.

The have taken a lot of highway journeys. the best ones have continuously been those I even have taken on my own. I lived in California and would get a wild hair each and every now and then. i'd purely take off andpersistent the place ever I overjoyed. My journeys have been on occasion only for the weekend and occassionally for as long as a week. I took loads of journeys like that as quickly as i became into in my 20's. somewhat after a wreck-up or if i became into in a relationship with somebody i became into no longer getting alongside with...it became into very unfastened-ing to be self sufficient and make all my options for myself.

I've done many long road trips alone. Just be sensible and careful. Make sure someone knows your day to day travel plans and check in with someone regularly.
The longest I've done are across Canada and from St. John's, Newfoundland to Key West, Florida, through Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Yes! I moved to Arizona from the east coast a year ago. It was really cathartic and wonderful. You just have to be extremely smart and safe! And always let somebody else know where you are. I've had other female friends do the cross country thing alone. Just don't hang out with any dudes or talk to strangers...little kid advice, but it's smart.

I've been thinking about doing a road trip from Milwaukee to Phoenix... I can't decide. The what ifs are holding me back. It's about 30 hours drive time.

I did one this summer. Let me see, the route was Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Tennessee, Georgia and back to Florida. Alltogether it was about 6000 miles, give or take.

yes road trippping this summer with my kids from jersey to louisiana. we went from jeresy to virginia, a six hr drive that took 12 lol. then to nc which was three hrs. then here to ga which was about six or seven now we are off to our home in fort polk la which is 11 hrs and im looking for a driving route that will include gas stations

I've gone about 2 or 3 hours away. I have been to lansing, michigan (to see a friend). I am also going to go to Indiana at some point to meet a friend (about 3 or 4 hours away).
