when i'm in a melancholy-like (and/or artistic mood) i like to listen to most songs by evanescence, staind, seether and mariah carey. what are the songs that you listen to? genre doesn't matter.

Well, the songs i listen to depend greatly on my mood.
If i'm in an artistic mood, i adore classical music. I especially love Tori Amos 'Kissing In The Rain' and the entire Great Expectations soundtrack. I find that i can write better when i'm listening to slow rock.
If i'm in a melancholy-like mood, i like sad songs of any genre. I especially love Hinder's "Better Than Me" and Snow Patrol's "You Could Be Happy". They just have to have sad words and a sad melody. And i feel so much better for some reason.
As for the major artists i listen to whenever i'm in either of these moods:
Hinder, Snow Patrol, Three Doors Down, Fuel, Three Days Grace, Tori Amos, Mariah Carey, Tyrese, Usher, Tupac, Evanascence, The Beatles, Red House Painters, John Lennon, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Mozart, Beethoven, Keith Urban, SR71, Ozzy Ozbourne, Bach, Scarlatti,ect...

I listen to Jah Cure : I know Jah jah Bless me" and i love lucky Dube He's a soultaker and has some insppiring music, listen to him sometime. Another artsist i love is Tim Mcgraw and Faith Hill, Shania Twian and Rod Stewart " I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing"

i listen to music all the time to calm me down it is funny how i can listen to the band thursday when they scream sometimes and it still calms me down and even sometimes will put me to sleep! well i will listen to panic! at the disco if i want to get in a really good and jumpy mood and to thursday when i feel like i want something more seroius.I've been listening to 30 seconds to mars alot, there is something about them that is pure amazing!
