You may need to update the drivers for your video card.

Go the support website for your pc manufacturer and look up your model. Go to the downloads page and find the latest driver for the graphics/video card.

Check the game's system requirements. It should be on the box as well as in the manual.

Your computer may not be capable of running the game.

update your video card's programs
go to the webssite that made your computer (or videocard)
then find the updates
and download them
