I have a 13 year old son, who would like to know how to switch hit. He is an excellent right-handed hitter, but has trouble batting lefty. Is there any website, or anything that could help him?

Best way to learn how to do it is, is to just go out and start hitting as much as you can the other way. The guys that do it well, all started one way, and then just practiced the other way until they got it down.

Just take him to the cages, or let him hit off a tee into a net 100 times a day, and he will get the hang of it.

Switch hitting is something that can be taught, but is much easier achieved by naturally having a good swing from both sides. I am right-handed and I noticed that I have a better swing from the left side. But if your son is having trouble with his left-handed swing then make sure to teach him the fundamentals first. work from the ground up. When hitting you want your top hand to be stronger so that you do not pop the ball up. So make sure your son improves the strength of his left side to prevent this problem. The best thing you can do is go to a local batting cage or throw some whiffle balls to him and get him more comfortable from the left side. GOOD LUCK!

I was never taught or coached in switch hitting. One game in High School I just decided to switch and I got a hit! Some great hitters cant hit switch. I guess you're born with it

Switch hitting isn't something that is taught. I mean you just have to basically born with the ability. g
