why the hell isnt the Oklahoma Sooners in the top ten? dont tell me that crappy Notre Dame is better just because they got mr "Hollywood" (brady quinn) doesnt mean they are good

Because they lost their #1 QB and that doesn't leave them in great shape. I agree they should be in the top 10, because they have the best offensive line in the country and one of the best defenses in the nation. Not to mention Adrian Peterson.

And don't worry, Notre Dame will get theirs soon enough, they have always had one of college footballs toughest schedules and that hasn't changed. They'll drop at least 2 games.

Here's my Top 10:

1. Ohio State
2. USC
3. Notre Dame
4. LSU
5. West Virginia
6. Louisville
7. Auburn
8. Penn State
9. Oklahoma
10. Florida State

Because they have no QB, or rather a QB with minimal game experience. Notre Dame IS better because they have BQ at QB, who has been starting since he was a freshman. Not to mention Samardzija, Walker, Zibikowski, McKnight, and Abiamiri, among others. However, I do want to say that preseason rankings don't mean crap. Heck, I don't even give much credence to many of the in-season rankings.

Umm.... Notre dame is better dude! they return 7 of there starters on offense ( including quinn ) and 9 , thats right 9 players on the defensive end.... and i'll tell you whats wrong with it, Florida isnt in the top 5... we all know urban myer excells in his second year at a school ( look at alex smith.. first overall pic ) so, can we expect the same for chris leak??? I hope so

I'll tell you what's wrong...Notre Dame is not ranked #1 thats what's wrong....Oklahoma might be ranked in the top 20 this year if they try really hard...as much as I like ND I don't think they can make it to the Championship.

Truth be told there should be no preseason rankings. What a football team is on paper doesnt alwasy translate to the field and besides I thought Oklahoma was in the top ten.

Notre Dame isn't that good and is overrated, but Oklahoma kinda doesn't have a QB. And they're coming off their worst season in 6 years.

ND is better for a lot of reasons mostly to do with returning players from last year. I actually have them ranked as 2 with a possible Championship this year (and I am a Michigan fan so don't think it is fanspeak)

notre dame is way overrated but your team isn't that good really, they should be in the top 10 though, maybe even 8 or 9.

first of all, nd is not better than ou.......
ou has all-day aka peterson and he's my top candidate for the heisman and quinn is overrated bc of who there coach is.............

ou will lose four or five games this yr though and nd wont to to well either....

ou will lose to texas............aka home of the 2005 champs and home of the 2007 heisman winner jamaal charles ................our qb will come into his own hopefully before the ohio state game.................

think about it.........................texas and ou are in the same position....no qb.......great d..........but...............texas has soooooooooooo much great athletes they wont let us lose and we might even play in the champship game dare i say w/o vy aka the greatest texas qb ever aka the greatest dual-threat qb ever to play in college football..
