Are you kidding? The lowest SAT score possible is a 400! I think this is a joke question. Based on the lucid questions asked, you couldn't have scored this low. Instead of posting such ridiculous questions, get of the computer and start studying!

Just because you got 410 doesn't mean that you are stupid. Firstly, some people are better suited to taking standardized tests... and some people struggle with tests even when they understand the subject matter thoroughly.

That said, there are probably very few 4 year colleges that will admit you unless you have astounding grades, exceptional extra-curricular involvement and some special talent.

If you want o continue your education then I suggest enrolling in some basic courses at a local community college, getting your Associates Degree and then applying to University. An Associates degree should take about two years but would also mean than your basic credits should transfer to the University that you enroll in (but how many credits and in what subjects varied from University to University) and then you will not have to take the core classes (general classes) again but can focus on your major of choice. However, this also means that you may have to enroll in University for 2.5-3 years, bringing the total years in college up to 4.5-5.

It is also possible to take core classes at a community college for a year and then reapply for University. However, you should also consider sitting for the SAT again and trying to get a better score.

Good Luck!

I got a 490 on math, 510 and 520 on the other two portions. Though your SAT score is a bit low, some colleges don't even look at SAT scores. It all depends what your other grades are like. If your average is 85 or higher, I'm sure you won't have a problem. Also, depending upon when you're planning on going to college, there is time to retake the SAT. Best of luck with it. :)

You're not stupid. You may not test well. You can always take the SATs again. It would look good to take the SATs again and maybe even a 3rd time if you need or want to.

I don't test well either and still went off to college. I did just fine when I went off to college.

I would definitely take the SATs again and then apply to schools right after you take it again. You might want to consider a community college or a small college or university.

Some universities will admit people with bad scores and grades through a backdoor program (the one at my school is called academic opportunity center) This means that the student is admitted on probabtion and they are given a certain time in which to get a good/ or maintain a good gpa otherwise they are dropped from the university. Maybe something like this could help you?

Standardized tests measure very little except how well you take standardized tests. I would try again, after studying with a book like "The Princeton Review". This book specializes in teaching you the best ways to take these kinds of tests.
You may want to go to a community college or a state school to get started. Don't feel stupid.

You not dumb, just need to study a little harder.
Just retake it, I remember I got a score that I was not too proud of and decided to retake the test. I studied days before the test and my score improved. Also, keep a high GPA, sometimes a high GPA can out way a low SAT score, you never know.

Have you considered going to a community college for a year? After a year, once you have a fantastic GPA, you could transfer to a better school.
