on new year's do you stay up to see the ball drop or do you go to sleep?

Depends on how good the party is! Honestally, I usually fall asleep. I dont find it fun anymore. I did when i was 10 and i got to stay up past bed time. But now, Its not as big of a deal

Unless I'm out doing something -I'm usually asleep by the time the ball drops. It's just somthing about the tv and nighttime that tells my brain it's time to go to sleep.

Somehow it was easier to stay awake when I was a kid and teenager, although a few of us on a chat group one year sat up til four in the am yakking online.

New Year's means different things to me now as I get older. It's now so much the party hardy and how drunk can I get as a time to reflect on the year, the good times as well as the losses and think about what that new year will be and will bring.

I used to brave the crowded subway's and the fact that there are NO easily accessable bathrooms, every year when I lived there.

Now, I just go to sleep. It's not the same on television and besides... I hate crowds when I am sober... I have been, for over 10 years. That is an enviornment that SCREAMS out for a dire need to be completely and totally intoxicated in order to enjoy it.
