Why is it not installing?

Generally, games will install even if the system its being installed on does not meet its minimum requirements, with the exception of sufficient hard drive space. Also, installers normally give you some sort of error message if it does not install. If it is not, then there may be a problem with the installer, or perhaps the media the game is on. A good place to look for problems similar to yours is the game developer's website, which in this case I believe it would be EA Games. (www.ea.com) EA support would be the place to contact if you continue to have problems.

Sure thing...
First, right click on "My computer" and select properties.
- This'll show you your processor's speed and the amount of system memory (RAM) that you have.

Find the "Hardware" tab and click on that and find the "Device Manager" button. When the new window pops up, look for "Display adapter" and click the plus sign next to that. That will show you the video card in the computer and you can just google that to see the specs on the card itself.

For what is required to run the game. Just keep in mind, the more you go over what is requried, the better you'll be able to run the Sims.

Good luck and have fun getting addicted :D

If you're having an installation error, though, it might not be your computer. What exactly is it doing? Are you sure the disk works okay? Checked for scratches on the surface? Putting in the next disk at the right time? Got the correct serial number?
