If you are staying on Disney property and only going to the Disney parks, you already saved the cost of a car rental. They pick you up at the airport (and get your luggage) and take you to your resort. This is called the Magical Express and you have to state that you want that when you make your reservations. I don't use the airlines that Disney picks, i go directly to the airlines and usually get cheaper fares. You then just call Disney and give them your flight info.

I assume you are not going alone, so one way to save some money is to share meals. (or if you like the fancier restaurants, go for the Disney Dining Plan)

If you have kids, try to find a dollar store before you leave home to buy extra sunglasses, and sometimes you can even find those glo-sticks like you see at fireworks and parades. (much cheaper at the dollar store than at disneyworld.)

At the value resorts you can purchase a drink mug (it is a little expensive, like $12.00, but you can refill it for free as many times as you like while you are at the resort! so it is a savings in the long run, plus you have a nice souvenir to take home!) You can only fill it at your resort, but we got our money's worth in one day!!

If you have kids, of course they always "want" stuff. Before your trip go to a local bookstore and get the "Hidden Mickeys" book. All around Disney World you can find the famous "Mickey Head" (as we call it). You can have a little game and give points to whoever finds the hidden mickeys. (this also helps keep kids distracted from the displays) Maybe after a certain number of points you can award cash to buy a souvenir. (If there is more than one child, make sure you add their points together so everyone gets the same amount- avoid squabbles)

Another "cheap" souvenir is the pressed coin machines. For 2 quarters and a penny you can get a nice little souvenir. These machines are all over the parks and at every resort. They sell small book for about $7.00 to hold them in. (I am going next month and have been saving my shiny pennies to take with me!)

No matter what you can afford, just make memories, they are more important than anything that money can buy. Don't rush through the parks, enjoy the little things that many people overlook, a small garden (look for the rabbits in the gardens!)

Have a great time!!!

Someone said to go to the tourist areas to get tickets.
DON'T DO THIS!!! These places try to get you to buy timeshare and in addition some of them buy people's used park hopper passes so there might not be any days left on them and you can't report them because nothing will be done and some of them just disappear! I know I use to live in Orlando.
Staying at a value resort is a good start because you get free transportation to the parks.
I would also suggest going to the restaurants that are on Disney property, but not in the parks. There are many restaurants around Disney that Disney leases the land to. I would contact mears transportation in Orlando at 407-354-5656 on how to get to these places because they are very reputable and they are always on Disney propery. You could go to go to one of Disney's parks and take a hotel shuttle to one of the hotels that Disney leases land to then walk to these restaurants that way it won't cost you anything. The hotel shuttles are always outside the parks.
Sometimes at your job or credit union you can get a Disney discount card that gives you savings but otherwise you have to pay for it. Call Disney and they can give you the number on how to get one.

Unfortunately Disney does not offer too many discounts except for heros like the military, police, fire fighters, and emt workers.
I wish I could be of more help!

If your hotel has a kitchenette, purchase a few basic grocery items at Publix or the wal mart that is near Disney World. Prepare meals as often as you can, rather than spending a lot of money on food in the parks.
Take a few water bottles with you into the park. Put them at the bottom of your bag. While bags are checked, they never rummage. They simply look at the top of the bag and are only looking for weapons. Re-fill your water bottles throughout the day to save on money.
Purchase these items before you leave for Orlando: ponchos, batteries, film. Disney has these items, of course, but they charge a small fortune for them. Be smart, and buy ahead of time.
When visiting either of the 2 Disney water parks, pack a lunch! These are the only Disney parks that allow you to bring food inside. When you pick up grocery items, pick up a small disposable cooler (they usually put them right by the doors in the summer time) and 2 bags of ice. You'll save a lot of money and odds are, your food will be better than what they serve. The only good food I've ever had at either of the water parks was the donuts or the funnel cake. Their lunch items are not great.
If you really want to save money, combine your park visits. If you're looking to visit all 4 parks, purchase 2 day park hoppers. On day 1, start your day at Animal Kingdom and around 1 or 2pm, head over to the Magic Kingdom to finish your day there. On day 2, start your day at Disney MGM Studios and around 12 or 1pm, head over to EPCOT to finish up your day. You'll save a ton by doing this. I've hit all 4 parks in one day. If I can do that, you can certainly do 2 parks a day. You'll just have to get to the parks early and grab fast passes for popular attractions immediately.

If you plan on visiting more than once, buy the no-expiration park tickets to cover more than one vacation. My family of 5 would be $1100+ for 4 days at the park (w/o hopping) but can get no exp. 10 day tickets for a bit over $1600. That way, tickets are purchased for my next 2 visits.

Also, only buy hopping tickets if you realistically think you can do more than one park per day. for little kids, one is more than enough.

Also, bring your own disney items instead of buying at the park.

Look into the meal plans.
For $36 per day (adult) and $11 per day (child) you get:

1 Full Service Restaurant (about $30 per adult)
This icludes App, Meal, Dessert, and Non- Alc Beverage
1 Counter Service ( about $10 per adult)
1 Snack (about $2 per item)

The good thing is the kids can eat off of the adult menu if they want. I think there are only two places that do NOT accept the meal plan (one is Rain Forest Cafe in Animal Kingdom) because they are outside vendors.

I went in May with my wife and two kids (7 & 2 yrs.) When we left we had 3 Full service meals & 23 counter service meals left over and we broke even.

As you see it works out t

You can save by purchasing the entire package together. This is how i save all of my clients money. In fact the last packages I booked included 3 free days at Universal Studios.

Check with the hotel or a travel agent maybe either of them can get you discount tickets, breakfast, lunch or dinner free. Anything is worth trying right.
