Anything talc based is gonna exaggerate dryer areas of your skin. Good to exfoliate at least once a week to remove the dryer flaking patches. Never skip moisturizer if your skin is oily, simply opt for one made specifically for oily skin. Use that as your "base" before using the Studio Fix. You also have the option of using an actual "primer" product under the Studio Fix. Many companies are rolling out their versions of primer. I'm sure you can find one in your price range that will help with the problem.

Use some moisturizer on the dry areas - or switch types of foundations. I have the same problem and use the liquid MAC StudioFix with just a touch of moisturizer on my dry areas.

If you want to stick with the MAC brand, I know that they make moisturizers, and one of their makeup artists should be able to identify which would be best for your skin.

I've found that powder foundations tend to really dry out the dry areas, and that the very least need a bit of moisturizer underneath on those dry areas to keep from flaking/drying out immensely.

Good luck!

Well since you are already using mac, Mac has a Studio fix softeing lotion (its like a toner) its watery even though its called lotion. But that works wonders I love it... i also use MAC, I too have to be careful otehrwise i get that greesy look and taht's what I use. I use a cotton pad and wipe it over my face adn my face feels so soft, and refresh and it works wonders on my combination skin.. I use to get those dry spots too and this helped a lot. A bit pricy I know, but the bottle has lasted me almost 6months now and i have a few months worth left... you dont' need much...

Since you already use their product, go to the counter with a clean face and ask if you can sample it, and then put on your poweder and try it out for the day...

Siogn up on their websites and you can get deals sometimes..

Hope that helps

maximum human beings have the t-zone concern. It seems such as you're drying out your epidermis somewhat, that could backfire because it each and every so often makes the exterior produce greater oil. it rather is beneficial to alter to a greater well-off cleansing soap, purpose makes a sturdy gentle one that doesn't strip moisture. Whichever cleansing soap you utilize, positioned your easy moisturizer on remarkable after cleansing on the aspects that sense dry/want it. besides - There are moisturizers that declare to repair this, yet i think of two diverse products might artwork terrific to your T-zone. . Get some thing like Smashbox's anti shine (at sephora shops) to dam out the shine, and a familiar oil loose moisturizer (there are a lot of sturdy ones) on your dry aspects. The bodyshop additionally makes a mattifying gel (to your brow and nostril) in case you could no longer stumble on a sephora keep close to you
