I was at a 5 day rave with tons of naked hippies partying on the beach. Ive grown up with nudity, so I felt fine joining in, my boyfriend is much shyer, he had trunks on. I think he was upset at the other guys looking at me, but also I feel it is my choice and it is just being with nature. He is the only one for me and he knows i would never do anything to hurt him.

I think boys are a lot more shy at least in the AMERICAN CULTURE.
We were raised with a lot different traditions.
I wouldn't be that shy, but I have been in the past.
When everyone is in the buff sometimes it makes it feel easier.
I agree w/you it is just NATURAL to be out in the buff in nature.
But there is still that whole cultural thing.
Holland/ England/ AMSTERDAM...they have a different way of life over there, it seems to me..A lot more laid back and relaxed.
I know your question doesn't say anything about that. but that is just how it is here.
I am guessing you are in the U.S.
We were just brought up different...
much more RIGID i think.

They have poor manners and no boundaries. I mean at a regular beach you don't go up to total strangers lounging on the beach and just ask to join them and the same due respect should be the same at a nude beach. I grew up near Black's Beach in San Diego and used to surf there and most people lounging around nude were not perverts and if any were swingers, nothing was made obvious. Many were like others there, just relaxing and soaking up some rays minding their own business. It is rude for a person of any gender alone to approach the nudist because nudity is a state of vulnerability and trust is usually more difficult to earn. I am sure your wife would not like some strange naked woman wanting to join too. A situation like yours is best if a couple wants to enjoy the rays and fun in the sun to just say hello to another couple is to say Hey we got a cooler of drinks and a frisbee and we will be over there if you care to join. By the way I am jealous because it is snowing here and I wish I had a beach to go to!

My wife and I have been nudists for over 40 years.
My two sons were more or less brought up in a sun club (some people call them 'Nudists camps')
When a new couple join, 9 times out of 10 the guys take everything off but the woman will keep her knickers on.
Because she is the only person there with some sort of clothing on - she sticks out like a sore thumb and eveyone stares at her.
After a few weeks they will pluck up courage, take everything off and then wonders why she was so nervous in the first place.

No. Nudity is a part of life and we shouldn't be ashamed of our bodies. I would be fine with seeing my girlfriend nude. Just as long as no is doing anything to her.

You won't cheat because you will hurt him, but laying there naked while other man stare at you is hurting him to...Take you own advice and "not hurt him"

I wouldn't care if my husband was nude at nudist colony (I like looking at him) And I don't think he would care if it was me nude either. As long as we were in a place that it was acceptable... not downtown or anyplace like that!

is this is your guy's first foray into public nudity, i'm sure he was uncomfy on several levels. if this is causing a rift in your relationship, decide which is more important to you. if not, let him adjust. he may not like others oogling you- but where were his eyes?????
