Mypoints.com is free. They don't just give you stuff right away, but through opening emails and making purchases by going to their site then clicking on a link to the site you are going to shop at (not every site, but quite a few big ones) you can earn points which earn you giftcards.

Those sites actually do give away stuff, but you need to sign up for many offers and wait years before they get it to you. I don't know of any that are ACTUALLY free.
