You are sleeping on a bed of insects! Don't be scared. They are mite too small to be seen. All they do is eat the dead skin you loose while sleeping. If they were not there, your room, in a short time, would be filled with dust.
Other insects pollinate the flowers and trees and vegetables so we can get more food.
Many insects eat decaying matter, which, if left unchecked, could lead to a massive spread of disease.
Many insects are the food of beautiful birds and even other animals we may eat.(unless you are a vegan)
In all, the only insect I would like to see an end to is the mosquito. I really don't know their purpose on earth.

Insects are definitely useful. They break-down waste into useable substances (dirt, etc.) and clean up some areas no person would want to touch. Admittedly, I could probably live in a world without mosquitos, but as much as I dislike them personally, maggots & dung beetles & roaches have jobs.
Butterflies & bees & other pollinating insects keep not only our decorative flowering plants around, but also help our food crops keep producing so that we can eat every day.
We may not think about all the amazing things insects do for us, but they certainly make the world a better place!

Lets just say that without insects you probably wouldn't be here right now......
Insects play major roles in the entire functioning of the ecosystem they fill every niche.........actually, I wont even bother answering you on this one, because I have already tried giving you my scientific opinion before and you always just choose something about toasters, bubblegum or some other unrelated rubbish as the best answer so I wont even bother.....
If you really were looking for a serious answer for once, just look in any entomology text book (yeah it is spelled with an "O" not an "I") and you'll see just how important they really are.
How do you like my typing Itch or crotch or whatever your name is?...hahaha

particular, the PETA human beings are flakes, for the main section yet you will no longer get very some distance via being a flake on the different part. as quickly as I see or pay attention "it rather is a shown actuality" without helping data, my BS meter is going off the size. you may desire to cajole greater human beings in case you stated each and all of the money and time you have spent to enhance the ambience. paying for a searching or fishing license does not count quantity; you have little selection there.

If you assume the existence of a creator, then you would have to question him/her/it as to what he/she/it had in mind when insects are created.
If you believe in evolution, then there is no "point" to any species. Species, the insects included, evolved from previous life forms. Those that weren't eliminated by natural forces continue to exist.
They have a ecological niche, but that's about it.

It is very doubtful that insects ever spend any time at all questioning anything. That's the advantage of being a bug.

The only thing I can think of is the food chain... because if they didn't exist some animals would have nothing to eat

many insects clean up our world by feeding on dead things, some i am sure are simply here to spread disease, such as the mosquito and tick
