I've traveled all over the world and yes we have more freedoms than any other country I've been in though I wish we had socialized medicine.

No, primarily for three reasons:
1. The Greed - America's economy and entire social strucutre is set up on materialism and greed. You're somewhat of a pariah if you don't clammor for every dollar you can.
2. The Religion - For an advanced nation, the religious dogma is overwhelming. It saddens me that we even have to debate garbage like "intelligent design".
3. The Arrogance - Most Americans will answer yes to this question without having ever traveled to other parts of the globe or even know much about it.

Yup. And for those who love Europe, if France was a State of the US, it would have the lowest in GDP per capita, below even Mississippi and Alabama. Germany would be only a few rungs higher. California has the fifth largest GDP in the world.

It's hard to say. We have a lot of really great things in this country, but we also have some not so great things, so I wouldn't say it's THE BEST.
Then again, I wouldn't really know. I've never lived anywhere else.

Sure if you're rich, a man and white.
However if you're poor, black a woman or a child, it's not so good. And heaven help you if you ever get sick and can't afford medical care.
It never ceases to amaze me that the "greatest nation on earth" withholds basic medical care from it's citizens that need it most.
And the worst part? There are actually people that defend this despicable attitude. Disgusting.

Not really. Just for the health system, I prefer Canada. I hear some of the Scandinavian countries are not bad either.
