I'm confused. All of my family and friends have different theories about true love. Some say there isn't such thing, others say it's true, and others give me a scientific definition of it.

I do believe that there really is a thing called true love. I do not believe in this soul mate idea, however. The thought that out of more then 6 billion or so people in the world, only one of them is supposed to be your "soul mate" really does not add up to me. If that were true then my luck would have my soul mate on the other side of the world and just being born right now, that would not help me out much. True love, however, is real. It is finding someone who, while not necessarily always agreeing with you, can at least see your side of things, does not pass judgement, and is also someone who can also really be a true friend. If you are not truly in touch with each other and can not always be totally open and honest with each other, like really good friends can be, then you have not yet met your true love, and you should keep looking. If you are with that person, then, no matter what problems you encounter you two will always be able to find a way to get passed it and forget about it. There is nothing scientific about true love, it is a feeling, it is a willingness in you to be able to look through faults and be true to yourself and each other. True love can only be found in your heart and no where else.

I agree with ": - )". My husband is my true love. We have been togehter for 5 years and could not imagine having lived all these years with anyone else. He is also a great father.

There are many, many kinds of love. True love is unconditional and therefore, not easily found. However, true love does exist. May it someday exist for you.

There is still present alot of true love for true people.
So be hopeful.
May one day U'll find.
But the 'TRUE' form of true love in only one........and it still exists in this world and will ever exist.........i.e Love of God for Humans and Love of Humans for God.

i mean cummon..wht crap!!
i know der r many ppl involved in de so called "true love"
but then tis just not practical..tis sheer hypothetical!
tis just tat when we do meet someone who cud match our frequency f thnkin nd mentality....tat we know we got de one we always luked fo..but tat doesnt mean "true love"..tis just tat we hv a partner now wid whom we wont find ne trouble hopefully adjustin!!
