They were to showe up in my hometown but cancelled. I guess not enough ticket sales. But the week before Shakira kicked off her tour here to a sold out audience.

DEVO was really hot during the early 80s and the early days of MTV.
They were one of the few bands to use synthesizers in extraordinarily creative and innovative ways in the early days of that technology.
I love 'em and I am an old guy.
Their early stuff is nothing short of brilliant, IMHO.
Compared to DEVO's music, the stuff coming out of "artists" like Shakira is puerile.
And so it is not surprising that her show sold out and DEVOs nowhere approached it in ticket sales.
