Knowing for a fact that it is because you have friends who smoke is not a valid arguement

and as anything can become psycologically addictive, it doesn't count either

yeah well - if it is socially addictive, then it's not the cannabis that is addictive, is it? It's the life. That's not the cannabis.

I bin smoking pot since i was 14(now 26) pretty much constanlty, Its not addictive, i just like being stoned.

Scientific proof of this is dope got **** in my area 'bout a week ago so i stopped buying it.(and it doesn't stimulate any areas of the brain assosiated with addiction)

I've been without a smoke for 6 days now, with NO adverse effects.

I mostly smoke it because i'm bored. Plus it lets you laugh at things that arn't really that funny, like life.

I've never commited a crime to obtain it (apart from its purchase) People who blame their problems on drugs
need to look at themselves, and why they turned to drugs.

Cannabis has not been proven to be 'physically' addictive in itself as in it does not contain any chemical elements that are known addictives. However there are 2 reasons why it can be considered to be addictive. 1 is that it is often smoked with tobacco which is known to be highly addictive and 2 it is psychologically and/or emotionally addictive. In other words people become hooked on the way it makes them feel or how it 'helps' them to relax, to cope with life, to forget their stresses and worries. In essence anything that can alter or enhance your mood can be considered addictive for this 2nd reason.

I think any mind altering drug is addictive, some people have an addictive nature! I know a few cannabis smokers and would say yes they are addicted! But we gotta be care full of the generalisation of the word addictive here!

Cannabis is mildly addictive, not as much as alcohol or tobacco, but slightly more than chocolate. Not everyone who uses cannabis gets addicted to it.

It provides a pleasant sensation because it switches things off in your brain. For some people, this can lead to brain damage.

I don't think cannabis is that addictive, tabacco makes it more addictive.

It is a habit though, routine for some. I know people that have sweats in the night if they do not have one before bed and cannot sleep for hours. I think it also depends how long you have smoked it for.

No cannabis is not physically addictive, but like anything in the world it can become psychologically addictive.

I know for a fact that cannabis is addictive. I haven't tried it but I know enough people who have. They say, that at times, some people need a heavier boost because the cannabis is not enough for them. This again, is from their association with the cannabis and others who smoke or somehow ingest it. I am hopeful that whatever a person finds in this addiction, he/she can overcome it. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless.

The only 'addictive" aspect of cannabis is the lifestyle. i think people like feeling that they are part of something "exclusive" or "elite". There is nothing physically addictive about the plant itself, people just enjoy the camaraderie that usually accompanies toking up and the subculture that it has created.

I don't think it is. Obviously tabaco is addictive and I think cannabis always gets mixed up in that argument.
