Red draws attention to an area that is small or is hidden by other small areas, such as a word within a sentence. Dark blue draws attention by supplying contrast, used for separating an area like a dark blue background area becoming distinct from a white background area.

I like Red because it not to light, it's not to dark, and it is a beautiful color. I like Dark Blue too, but Red is gorgeous!

Dark Blue is easier on the eyes. Red is appealing though.

Dark Red. Use a darker shade of red and it won't be so hard on the eyes and looks really nice.
