Do my cholesterol numbers look okay?

Had blood work done last week and all I got was a voicemail from the nurse telling me my numbers were "fine". I was hoping for a little more details.
Here are some of the numbers.
Triglycerides 102
Total Cholesterol 170
HDL 37
LDL 113
Chol/Hdlc Ratio 4.96

Going by established reference ranges, your HDL is slightly low, but also your totsl cholesterol is low so the ratio is pretty good. Agian by established ranges your LDL is a little high but not really a problem at this time. Your triglycerides are excellent. A good exercise program will improve your HDL and LDL numbers and of course be a benefit to your overall health. There is absolutely no reason to consider any of the cholesterol reducing medications at this time.

1.VLDL and LDL/HDL ratio is not done . Why ? HDL is at the minimum level It must be about 45 -60 . <35 is the risk factor. otherwise it is in the normal range.

Your LDL (bad kind) is high

your HDL must b above 45

your LDL should b below 100

i think you should do some exercise everyday (atleast 30 mins)

stop taking red meat

swtich to vegi diet , dreing lot of water

if necessary start taking some statin drugs - they are safe

This is what I got from my Dr.
Tri should be less than 150
HDL should be 40 or higher
LDL should be less than 130
