My husband and I were married in January 2005 and I went off the pill just before we were married and went on our 2 week honeymoon. The week we came back, I was feeling so sick but that it was something I ate while in the Tropics.

I'm still not sure what possessed me to do this, but I took a pregnancy test and it came up positive ( I hadn't even missed my period yet!). I started screaming my husband's name and he came to the bathroom door with toliet paper in hand thinking that's what I was calling him for.

I handed him the pregnancy test and asked him if he saw the plus sign as well. He was in shock as well so he said "What the hell is this suppose to mean!?!" I said I guess I'm pregnant but let's go buy a couple more tests to make sure, which of course all came back positive as well.

The next day he came to pick me up from work (L&D nurse) and I happened to be carrying my patient's 1 hr old baby and my husband's eye just filled with tears as he realized we would soon to holding one of our own.

Surprise Pregnancy Stories

Well, it took over 2 years to conceive my son (almost 12 years ago). After that, we spent 30,000 dollars on fertility treatments and had 5 miscarriages so we gave up. I was on the pill to regulate my cycles and realized that I hadn't gotten a period that month which is odd, because it always comes the same time each month. used a digital pregnancy test and went down to feed the carpool kids before hebrew school. Ran back up to check it and saw the word 'pregnant'. I thought for sure the light behind the 'not' word had burned our or something. Found a really old test in the closet and managed to use it and the pregnant line was there before the test was even completed. SURPRISE!!! I turn up pregnant 11 years later and now have a beautiful 8 month old child. It was wonderful, but a bit of a change after all these years!

Well, when I got pg with our first, it happened quickly. Imagine my surprise when we went to try for our second. It took over 2 years to get pregnant. Well, I went on a business trip 3 years ago. When I came home I found out how much absence makes the heart grow fonder. In the heat of the moment, we forgot protection. I didn't think anything of it, because it took so long with our second. A couple of weeks later, hubby and I got into a minor disagreement, and I do mean MINOR. I can't even remember what it was about, it was so stupid. Well, I started crying and I couldn't stop. Hubby said I just needed some attention, and I was being moody. The next day, I took a pregnancy test. When I saw the positive, I asked again if I just needed attention and shoved the stick in his face! :)

I do! Last year, my two boys were ages 4 and 8 months old. I had just started working again, and my husband and I were both comfortable with the two boys. Well, in April, my period was supposed to start on the 1st, but it didn't. (I'm very regular) So I thought it was just stress, didn't worry about it. On the 7th I went to a concert with a girlfriend of mine, and it still hadn't started yet. We were talking about it at the concert, and she said, "Oh, you are pregnant, you're pregant" And I really didn't believe it! I knew there was no way I could be pregnant. So, on the 15th, it still hadn't started. So, I bought 2 pregnancy tests from Walmart and they both came out negative. So, I thought ok, I'm really not pregnant, it really is stress, so I'll just wait for it to start. I wait and wait and wait, and on the 23rd, it still didn't come. So I'm getting worried, I go buy 2 more pregnancy tests and take them that morning. They still came out negative. So, on the 25th, early in the morning, I threw up. So, I got really parinoid, and that day on my lunch break I went and had a blood test done, to get the results back the next day. Well, the next morning, I threw up again! By this time, I just knew I was pregnant. Around 9:30 that morning, I called for the blood test results, and sure enough, they were positive. And that's my surprising story about my pregnancy. And, this time it was a girl! Now, my kids are 5.5, 2, and 8 months old. Two boys and a girl...this time, I got my tubes tied, so we won't have anymore surprises.

I'm pregnant with my first. When they did the afp test for spinabifada and down syndrome they told me my tests came back "slightly Elevated" So they told me to go to this Major hospital 2 hours away for a better reading. The day before I go to the major hospital the Doctors call me and say that the local hospital made a "lab error" And that everything was fine. BOY WAS I HAPPY. It was like 4 weeks later that I found out and they put me threw hell for like a month just to tell me it was all a mistake. Again I was thankful but my word, you DO NOT do that to someone! Baby is fine, everything looks good I'm due end of October!

Yes. I was very into my job at the time and hadn't noticed that i was late on my period. My daughters father (now my ex) commented one day that he thought i was late. So after work one day i bought a test (as i had done other times i was late---all due to stress). I peed on the stick and sat awaiting the common "NOT PREGNANT" that i was used to. Well it showed i was prego, i started CRACKING up. I thought it was the funniest thing EVER.

Surprise... 8 months later she was born! Wouldnt change it for the world, but it sure did catch me by surprise!

i worked with a girl who had gotten pregnant with out intercourse. she was sixteen and her and her boyfriend had been fooling around while they where naked, lol , the funny part is he didn't have a condom and didn't want to get her pregnant so he never entered her, lol, but some how his little swimmers still found a way to make it. even better she was still a virgin, lol, hymen in tack and all. they are still together ten years later and two more kids later, I'm sure the other two they had sex for. lol.
