get dvd shrink. search it in google and download it straight from the site. much easier to compress and even burns for you.

I assume you downloaded an archive file like .rar
1. right click on the file
2. choose extract to ... (and it gives the directory of where you are)
3. open the folder that was just created
4. right click on the the file that ends in .r00 and extract the same way again.
5. open the folder that was created again, and your avi file should be in there. Or it will be a bin file and a cue file. If it's a cue file use your imaging software (like nero) to make a dvd with it.

hm weird that the movie doesn't fit on the dvd without compression, but anyhow compressing is easy, either select them all and the right click and click on compress or add to archive(not sure what winace says there but something like this will be there) or alternativly go up to the parent folder and right click that and select compress or something like that, and then burn with any burn app, nero is good
