I sang to him myself... These were the most peacefull and loving moments of my life.
I sang the song from the Disney movie Dumbo called Baby mine.
and I still do... He is 6 years old now and when he is sleeping I creep into his room and sit at the edge of the bed and sing it quietly and it still makes him smile... even sleeping.
From: Dumbo
Music: Frank Churchill
Lyrics: Ned Washington.
Baby mine, don't you cry
Baby mine, dry your eyes
Rest your head close to my heart
Never to part, baby of mine
Little one when you play
Don't you mind what they say
Let those eyes sparkle and shine
Never a tear, baby of mine
If they knew sweet little you
They'd end up loving you too
All those same people who scold you
What they'd give just for
The right to hold you
From your head to your toes
You're not much, goodness knows
But you're so precious to me
Cute as can be, baby of mine.
And I also like the Little Lamb song from the Flintstones Cartoon.
The Littlest Lamb
You are still awake and it's half past your bedtime
The sandman had a date he didn't keep.
But when the lambs comence,
to jump across the fence,
I'll count them all until you fall asleep...
The first little lamb jumped over the fence,
and was off to the land of nod.
The second and third were close behind,
like three little peas in a pod.
The fourth little lamb was too chubby to jump,
he crawled under instead.
The fifth little lamb wasn't there at all,
he must have stayed home in bed.
Number six jumped around as confused as could be,
he didn't know where he had been.
He jumped over that's true, but before he was through,
he jumped over, jumped back, and jumped over again.
The next little lamb, was the littlest lamb,
too little for such a big leap.
Though he tried like a scout,
he soon tuckered out,
and the littlest lamb was asleep.
The littlest lamb is asleep.
Good Luck! Enjoy this time, it truely is the most precious in life.

Go get some "learn to speak" language tapes. Play him music that has swedish, german, italian, french, spanish, chinese, japanese. Anything language related. Continue to do so until about 1 year of age, and then focus on the main language (english)
Listen to all kinds of music, it will allow progress paths to open up for your child. Obviously avoid the bad stuff - but make sure you play complicated things such as techno, classical, jazz, etc. Any music that has layers of depth will increase the brain-logic ratio of the child.
A bright child is a happy child.
till he gets bored being in school

I bought a classical CD from Target. It is a compilation of a lot of famous composers. My baby seems to always move when I play it...my fiance says he's dancing, haha! Both my fiance and I come from very musical backgrounds...we want our son to love it too!
