Simply state your claim. Be prepared if the answer is not what you want to hear...
Yes, there is a high chance that this will ruin your friendship, if your feelings aren't corresponded it's very likely that there WILL be weirdness. In this case, your best bet is to walk away for a while, let the whole item breathe and then there's a chance that you'll resume your friendship, when she feels non-threathened by your feelings.
But, what if she says YES, that would be great! Totally worth it, believe, so honey, get a pair and talk to her about it. Of course, moment is crucial here, so maybe after a nice dinner, or some coffee and great conversation, just start "measuring the waters", don't just spit it out, start with some comments heading in that direction, maybe something along the lines of how much you value her, some compliments, see her reaction, and then go from there.
Basically, you'll never know if you don't ask, so go ahead, sure there's risks, but the rewards are DEFINITELY worth it, right?

Well it depends on what you want more. Are you willing to risk your friendship?? Think that over, and if you are, you can just tell her how you really feel about her. And ask her out.

Best is to tell her how you feel. If you dont you will regret it for the rest of your life and keep wondering what or how she would react. so get it over with now. for better or worse.
