Not all cases provide for an attorney.

While the precise lines vary by state, generally if the crime does not involve any jail time (suspended or otherwise) as part of the sentence, there is no requirement for an appointed attorney. This is because the constitutional requirement for appointed counsel only really applies when your liberty (not just money) is at risk.

unless you are facing jail time of six month's or more or a heavy fine you will not be eligible for an attorney
