Is it more likely to have twins if it runs in both families?
My boyfriend has 2 sisters and a brother and there tripplets,and my grandma is a twin. If we have kids is it possible for us to have twins

It depends whether the twins/triplets are identical or not. In the case of the triplets, since they are of different sexes, they are non-identical. As for your grandma, I don't know whether or not she has an identical or non-identical twin.

Identical twins do tend to run in families and have a tendency to skip generations, whereas non-identical twins don't run in families.

Non-identical twins occur when two eggs are fertilised by two sperm, and the occurrence is more at the two extremes of reproductive life, when the woman is either very young, or quite old approaching menopause, as at these times the ovaries are apt to releasing more than one egg each month.

Identical twins occur when one egg is fertilised by one sperm, but the the fertilised egg splits into two. This tends to run in families and skips generations, so for example if your grandma is an identical twin, your mother would be more likely to have identical twins.
