How do I know if I could have had a miscarriage? When I should have been ovulating I had serious cramping and got overly tired easily. I thought maybe they were O cramps, that is until I started bleeding. I bled for about 3 days but it was only clotting, no blood blood. Usually with my AF if, IF, I have any cramping I can take a half of tylenol and be fine but with these cramps I was popping tylenol twice daily. I had cramps for 3 days (cramps were in middle lower abdomen and stretched all the way down...if ya know what I mean)and bled/clotted 3 days; I did feel exhausted but never feverish and I never got sick. What are signs of a miscarriage? Could this be it? I went to the OBGYN 5 weeks ago and had a pelvic exam-they didn't do a pregnancy test on me but when she did the pelvic exam I bled-totally abnormal for me. After ttc for so long (11 months) its disheartening to think I may have been pregnant and had a miscarriage. What were your symptoms of miscarriage? I am so sad.....:(

I should have first said that I don't even know if I was pregnant, I never took a preg test ( I stopped buying them after 10 months and no pregnancy). So I really can't say I was even pregnant but to have abnormal bleeding like this is strange-I have now had 3 periods in 2 months and wouldn't doubt if I have another in a couple weeks. Whats wrong with me? I know I should go to the doctor, I will-I just wanted to know if painful cramping and clotting are main symptoms of miscarriage.

Well I had an unusual bleeding once - my period was late for a whole month (we're ttc also so we thought for sure we were pregnant) but all hpt's were negative. I went to see my OB-GYN, took a urine test (I know I should have gotten a blood test), it was negative. Two days after, I had really bad cramps and then I bled with lots of clots. I also wondered if it was a miscarriage, eventhough I had negative hpts, but because I had been pregnant before and know all the symptoms (and believe me, I had all the symptoms of being pregnant, except of course a positive pregnancy test). Sometimes it happens that the fertilized egg fails to progress and develop into a fetus, so what happens is that the body flushes it out into what looks like a heavier than normal period. When this is the case, the hCG (pregnancy hormone) does not go up at all, so eventhough you're technically pregnant, urine tests won't be able to detect the pregnancy hormone because it is way too low. It is usually termed as a chemical pregnancy, sometimes they'll tell you it was a blighted ovum - meaning it was just an empty sac, no baby in it. It will never grow and progress anyway, so for most women, not knowing that they were close to being actually pregnant is sometimes a godsend. Early miscarriages are fairly common, but since not a lot of women find out that they were pregnant before the miscarriage, they never know that they were. In this case, the bleeding that ensues goes on its own natural way and does not need any medical intervention (such as a D&C).

Signs of a miscarriage usually are: cramps, bleeding, and sometimes nausea. Some women gte feverish, others do not, some say they get extreme fatigue. It depends on how far along the pregnancy was before the miscarriage took place.

I'm sorry for your loss if it was indeed a miscarriage, and goodluck with your TTC. Don't lose hope, but it is hard to ttc (we're already going on 4 months and still no baby), so my prayers are with you.

I don't see if you were at the ovulation how you could have been pregnant, that means you had your period approximately 2 weeks before, ovulation is normally when you get pregnant.

I've had three miscarriages, all three were confirmed pregnancy, I cramped and bleed a lot and passed big clots.

I don't think there is anyway they can truly determine if you miscarried, but chin up, Keep hoping and praying.

Yes, I had three miscarriages, but I have had 4 children since than. I bet you will be pregnant by next year. Good luck lady.

It really does sound like a M/C. I had a M/C a couple weeks ago, and although I knew I was pregnant, the syptoms are very simular. When you get the doctors, they will take your blood and let you know for sure. I'm really sorry if so.

Sounds like a cysts breaking. Should check out because some cysts wrap around ovaries and cause problems with fertility.
