You can't gain weight fast. Not healthily anyway.

Accept the fact that when you're 35, you'll be at the prime of your life and those people will be statistically overweight.

Americans are all too fat nowadays, anyway. Unless your doctor says you need to gain weight, just ignore the ignorant people. (I used to be called stick man)

It sounds as if you are in middle school or high school. If that is the case, don't worry about, your body is still in a state of maturity and will need healthy foods to make you physically well enough to endure the rest of your life. If you are an adult, I suggest you keep eating three regular meals a day, but at the inbetween times, drink a slim fast shake. This should add the wanted weight you are looking for. I don't know why your worried about it, I like tall and skinny girls (even though I am practically a midget at 5'6") and have dated them more often than not.

I have the EXACT same problem, well except for the lamppost thing, i get called a stick or twig or something like that, your honestly just going to have to wait it out. Your metabolism is better the the average person and they are incredibly jealous, You'll start gaining weight between 20s-30s and its gonna suck because then you will have to exercise, so enjoy it now and just remember, you'd rather be tall and skinny than short and fat :)

I know you hate it. I had the same issues when I was younger. BUT... Now I'm 42 years old, and I'm the envy of most of my friends!
It sounds like you have a small frame body type, and probably have a fast metabolism. There's nothing you can do to change that, and you wouldn't want to! This is a hard time, but trust me, it's short compared to the rest of your life, and you will be grateful for it, when you can pig out on junk food & never gain an ounce, while your friends are eating celery, trying to control their weight. You're blessed!!

First off it's wonderful to be tall and skinny. Loads of people like that kind of thing, so don't get down on yourself because you're a different kind of beautiful than you'd like to be.

About gaining weight - I read in National Geographic that sumo wrestlers gain their considerable weight by keeping a strict schedule of naps after meals. Eating hi-carb meals (noodles and the like) and then sleeping right afterwards assists your body in converting what you've just consumed into body fat more easily than if you eat and then go do something active.

You could also go hog wild like Cartman on South Park and buy some of that Weight Gain 3000 sport shake stuff . . . buuuut I wouldn't reccommend that. *laugh*

Um, if you want to gain weight healthily, eat a lot of protein-rich foods along with working out to tear your muscles. As your muscles tear (which is the soreness you feel the next day), the protein acts as a repairing agent and fills the gaps in the torn areas which will increase your muscles size.

However, if you want to gain weight the unhealthy way, make McDonalds and KFC your main courses :D

Lol, well, I have the opposite problem... I am tall but anything I eat causes me to gain weight ( more than likely due to lack of exercise) try cutting back on your workout routine.... add more calories to your diet, it doesn't have to mean chips and candy. Try eating 6 times a day.

You think this is a problem? Get a job as a model and make millions. Maybe your money will then help you get some self confidence. What I'm trying to say is you are fine the way you are. Being thin is healthy, be happy with who you are.

Drink a few Ensure or Boost a day in between meals to help gain weight.

Its the same way with me. Dont listen to them we just dont gain weight as fast as they do. Just try to work out and maybe u can become a little bit more muscular and maybe go out for sports. People make fun of other people just to make themselves feel better about something in their life. Just ignore them and dont care about what others think.
