Sure, I take mine off to put lotion on and stuff. My husband takes his off when he's doing yard work and getting dirty. As long as you're not taking it off to hide the fact that you're married, then it's okay!

I do. No matter how diligent I am, water always tends to get trapped beneath my ring and causes a sore, so I need to take it off and let the skin heal. I don't like to take it off, but if I don't, the skin won't heal (I've tried to heal it with the ring still on, doesn't work). I think the ring is just a symbol anyway. It's what's in the heart that counts, and my husband knows I'm not taking it off for any reason but that one, so it's no biggie. But when I do take it off, it goes in the zipper pocket of my purse for safe keeping.

Yes! You can take them off... Espically for what you are saying your reasons are. At times the rings have to be cleaned as well...
I know lots of married men who don't even wear them b/c of the line of work they do. I know men and a women who have lost there ring finger from the rings getting caught on equipment and it ripping the finger right off. It's o.k. it's all about trust & love. Not about a peice of jewlery, rings can not say how a person truely feels inside.

Yes, they go on therefore they can come off, as long as you are not taking it off to go out to a singles bar :) But yes take it off if you want to put on lotion or clean something that might not come off. I take my engagement ring off sometimes when I am washing dishes or taking a shower because I'm afraid it will fall down the plug hole (I live in Germany where the plug hole is just that a hole, nothing to stop things falling down)

A ring doesn't make a marriage. IF you never wore it, would your marriage be anything less? No. Honey, Take off the ring and lotion up your hubby. My husband can't wear his at work (it's very dangerous with his job) so rarely wears it at all. I know he's faithful and commited and we have a very strong marriage....reguardless of the ring.

That's the best way to lose one. There is no ruling on taking your wedding ring off. I don't like to get food in mine when I'm cooking so I'll lay it to the side, or when I'm working outside in the garden I'm afraid of loosening the diamonds so I remove it.

There is no reason why you can't take them off. I take mine off when I go swimming just on the chance that it could slip off my finger and be lost forever. My husband refuses to wear one. A lot of men don't like to wear wedding rings.

Yes, they can be taken off when it comes to needing to protect them. The only times I have taken mine off are for things like going in the ocean where a current or the activity could pull it off and finding it after that would be near impossible.

Yes you ca take off the ring. Somepeople don't sleep in them, scared of getting them trapped in the sheets. You can't take it off in response to an arguement.

You can take teh ring off for hand washing,etc....
Also, taking it off in a bar to have sex with a stranger is fine. I suggest you start doing that repeatedly.
