with my yahoo msn im able only to hear voice my reply is not heard. is it bcos of settingsor other reason?

On msn messenger there is a sound and vid. test.
Clk on Tools or Options and do the test. If you have a problem, it will tell you and maybe fix it.

Because you did not set up the mic correctly. Run the setup again.
