I am going get around $4,000 from my financial aid refund this semester, and I need a new car. I have right now a 1990 Lexus, and it runs pretty good for it being an old car, but it's slowly but surely dying on me. My dad won't let me buy nothing other than a Toyota, Lexus, Nissan or a Honda-because of their dependability. So out of these makers which model do you think is the best to buy used? Thanks

dont buy honda civic, accord coupe, acura integra,
dont buy nissan zx240 zx 300, sentra
dont buy toyota celica
for 4000 dollars , these cars are not good because most of their owners didnt take good care of them, most of their owners used it for more or less racing(real or not) werent good for the engine, transmission, suspension. most of these cars are at least third handed or worse.

so choices are left for toyota corolla
make sure you do the VIN vehicle history check
and buy a car around 2500 or 3000, because you need 1000 to do full check on the car, and probably need to fix lots things. dont spend the whole 4000 on car

subaru legacy, ask dad about them, toyota & honda both are dependable and some are fuel efficient, the subaru will give you 25mpg, but it has 4-wheel drive thats been in production 2 decades or more and is proven, the engine is proven too, its basically the same engine subaru started with and has improved a year.

Nissan. If you want a car that won't fall apart then get a Nissan. Listen to your dad he knows what he's talking about. Foriegn cars are better than American made.

Older Hondas have been good to me..and Nissans have been righteous to my man,so either one of those..and a 4 door that looks like its been taken care of, not kid ridden..lowest miles ya can get too..price compare it really helps..
