I am not a Republican, but I am a military veteran (which is frequently confused with automatically being Republican). Based upon my own personal experiences, profiling can help target specific groups that are more likely to commit crimes, but you cannot focus solely on that group, otherwise you open holes in security that can be detected and exploited by the enemy.
For instance, I believe that searching grandmother was both justified and necessary. Look at it this way. Several years ago, everyone would have thought that searching a woman who was 8-9 months pregnant would be stupid... that was, until, Iraqi dissidents used an 8-month pregnant woman to fake going into labor to draw U.S. soldiers in close to assist her. As soon as they got close enough, she detonated the bomb in the car she was next to.
After that incident, it doesn't seem so stupid to search pregnant women.
While it may seem stupid to search grandmom now, it won't after the terrorists clue in that we aren't searching that "type" of person and they use an older mark to carry their payload.
All citizens, regardless of sex, ethnicity, religious beliefs or nationality should be subject to search upon entering an airport or this country. Profiling may be a useful tool, but to rely solely on profiling would be sheer folly.

Now, to ensure we Americans NEVER offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us all, TSA will no longer be allowed to profile certain people. The must conduct random searches of old folks, little kids, pilots, Secret Service agents, 85 yo men with metal hips, and Medal of Honor former Governors and leave the Muslim males between the ages of 17 – 40 alone because of racial profiling.
Who are these dunder-heads that are against racial profiling? Would THEY get on a plane with a Muslim male between the ages of 17-40? I know I would not. Does that make me a racist? Maybe so, but I don’t care.

The profiling would not only affect Arabs... the travelers that are not citizens of the USA would be in the profiling also. This would not only go twards men as it would include everyone. The profiling should be done as it only keeps everyone safe. The sad thing is that those who are not the terrorists will be upset that they are included into the profile however in reality it would be to keep all of us safe.

Profiling, done correctly, is based on many factors like behavior, where they've been previously, one way ticket, etc. Being an Arab would be a part of the mix but not all.
The Isralies have used it successfully for many years.

Personally, I think they need to profiling in the opposite manner from which you state. Do not bother so search. A. Grandma B. Grandpa. C. Asians on vacation. D. Midwestern women with three kids in tow. (And whatever completely does NOT fit the profile) After that you could do it randomly.

Simply make persons who appear to be arabic to extra screening and security measures. You shouldn't stop screening anyone, just screen Arabs or persons from other Islamic nations such as Pakistan or Asian nations more than everyone else. Remember, the terrorists only have to be right one time, we have to be right 100% of the time.

My main problem with profiling is that terrorists can always make the dangerous people look like little old grandmothers (costumes, make-up...)
You can't be too careful. I would rather have them search everyone, including me, my husband and our 5 year old.

Do we understand how living human kind born and raised after independence could no longer outsmart living human kind with their loss of IQ on planet earth.
Do we understand why the young ones has to do the profiling?
Observe how the young ones were at loss with the missing x-files for their own survival and living with fear on planet earth.
Do we see the blunders and slip-ups with human errors in the creation of living human kind into Mankind on planet earth?

As long as the Arabs are the ones crashing airplanes into buildings, they should be the ones being searched. If whites or hispanics started crashing airplanes into buildings, they should be searched.
To hell with political correctness, fight the enemy.
