I believe suffering teaches us to appreciate good things, no matter how small they are. Every life is filled with suffering to some extent, but we can choose to pay attention to the suffering, or focus on the tiny rays of joy that we are given so we may endure the suffering. Sometimes, nothing is harder to do.

I believe strength, learning to perservere. Confidence. Knowledge. Experience. Depth. Perspective. Life lessons. Understanding. I think all those things come with suffering. I think those are good things.

As we create with our thoughts...when a lot of negativity is in our lives...we have sown the seeds (thoughts) that are manifesting in our lives. Good things will only come when we sow the good for our life. That requires a consciousness change.

There is a belief about "Yin" and "Yan"...for every "top" there is a "bottom"...you can not know joy unless you also know pain. There is a balance in life because without it there would be no life at all.
