Well, there are a couple of ways to download messages from Yahoo! mail to Thunderbird. Here are two simple ways:

1. Install the WebMail and WebMail Yahoo extensions for Thunderbird to dowload Yahoo! mail.

2. Use YPOP's

Before starting you should read Mozilla's knowledge base article for using online email services:

1. "Using webmail with your email client" -- mozillazine.org (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Using_webmail_with_your_email_client)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

First method: using WebMail extensions for Thunderbird.

1. go to http://webmail.mozdev.org/installation.html
2. download and install the WebMail 1.0.11and the Yahoo 1.1.0 extension
3. go to http://webmail.mozdev.org/setup.html and follow the instructions.

Second method: using YPOP's

1. go to http://www.ypopsemail.com/
2. download YPOPs! 0.8.6.2 (http://www.ypopsemail.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=26&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0)

and follow the instructions to install YPOP's
