1 Dead in Attic - my mom gave me the book. It's a collection of newspaper columns written by a man in New Orleans about the aftermath of Katrina. Very moving, and the title refers to spray paint on the side of a house, which is just heartbreaking.
I've also read my share of Phillipa Gregory - I liked her books The Other Boleyn Girl and The Virgin's Lover, but couldn't get into the Wideacre trilogy. Since books have become my life, I get a chance to check out more titles.

Right now I'm reading The Witching Hour by Anne Rice. It is part 1 in a 3 part chronicle of the Mayfair Witches. It's very good.

I am reading one of Rachel Ray's cookbooks. I particularly love her "30 Minute Meals" show on the Food Network.
I recently finished:"In the King's Service." This is a sci-fi novel which is the beginning of her most recent in a series of series by Katherine Kurtz. All are excellent. More sword and sorcery than BEM or space cowboy...Try it you might like it!

A lot of interesting things; books on American history (no it's not boring), and Capitalism and I saw one on Cultural Diversity, which is a teens guide that was interesting. Also several weeklys and monthlys and devotionals. I guess I read a lot!
