I've found that the proxy surfing bypasses my work's server and lets me hit regulated sites. You loose some scripting functionality sometimes though -- like myspace, for some reason, doesn't let you log in.

Do a search on anonymous surfing. If you are good enough to find the answer then GoodOnYa! If not, then get your head back in the books and stop trying to circumvent the programs the school has put in place. You are there to learn, not surf and chat with your "buds".
