To the person who replied all Mercedes are built in Germany, thats not correct, the ML is built in Alabama, and the GL also, BMW builds cars in Greer S.C., VW builds cars in Mexico, they are all German brands, with facilities in U.S. and other countries, the best place to look is on the vehicle, which should have a country of origin tag, which tell what percentage of the vehicle is built where.
