I think it is a good thing because if you are a normal law abiding citizen then you will never set foot in that place. You do the crime you do the time. It also acts as a deterrent. Maybe people will think twice before doing anything that might land them in there.

Although I don't think Americans should be abusing or torturing the prisoners at Gitmo, I'm sick and tired of the whining about terrorists being held without rights. They, and their brethren, didn't care about the rights of the people on the planes and in the WTC and the Pentagon on 9/11. As far as I'm concerned they can sit there till h**l freezes over.

Yes, there are some prisoner rights issues with Guantanamo bay.
It is a really difficult question for the country, what do you do with individuals captured in war, when they didn't fight for a recognized counry.

It's totally not a concentration camp. I think those guys have a better time there than their native countries... 3 square meals, down time, get to pray whenever they want. Be nice...

I think we should kill all the detainees. They'll be happy because they'll be in their 72 palaces with their 72 virgins - you'll be happy because there'll be no more "concentration camps" and we'll be happy because we won't have to answer mindless drivel ever again.
Talk about a win -win-win situation!

You mean CLUB GITMO? Where about 400 terrorists have been released and deported to the countries they came from to be BEHEADED by their own countrymen?
Where they are allowed to pray five times per day to Allah?
Where there has been murder attempts on our soldiers?
Where they get three square meals of the crap they eat in their own countries?
Hope we add more to the prisoner population. Less of them, better chance they can't kill us-which they have said they want to do.

Are they gassing people there? Torturing them? Crucifying them to trees? Burning them alive?
If not, then the Americans are not nearly as bad in their "concentration camps" as the WWII Germans and Japanese were!!!
Besides these people are terrorists and terror suspects. What are they supposed to be treated like? Comfy chairs and nice hot cups of tea?? Get real. They'd slaughter you and your family without a second thought in the name of their "jihad".

WELL ,,,,i think u ve read all the answers and u can imagine ;how americans think about that camp,,,,well the truth is my friend ,they dont think at all but what their media tells them ,,these ppl are sooooo ( i dont know innocent or stupid)that they cant differentiate whats fair and whats not,,,,after WW2 ,there was a research by scientists ,,and the resluts showed that at that an average american s mental age was 13 yrs old.....now think and imagine
