There was a Marvel/DC crossover comic book that already settled this (mostly)
Anyway, the JLA is the more powerful team by far
BatMan & Captain America are a stalemate
The Avengers don't have enough Thor-level people to hang with the JLA. The Flash is way faster than any of Marvel's speed guys, Wonder Woman outclasses any of Marvel's female heroines, etc. Marvel has no answer to people like Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Captain Marvel (how ironic) etc.

As long as it is an Avengers team with Thor, the Avengers would win. Thor is a GOD (and I don't mean like "he rules!!" I mean he is an actual God) and even Superman cannot defeat him. Iron man would totally have the drop on Batman. She hulk could take Wonder Woman. Wolverine (like I said depending on the Avengers team) would slice and dice Plastic Man. There is always a better counter part on the Marvel Side. Marvel would beat DC.

Justice League because of Superman and i dont believe im a nerd for enjoying comics and superheros i always have. Im sure you have things that interest you that i dont even care about in the slightest but were not judging you! Go take your two points and be gone

JLA all the way. Superman could defeat most of the Avengers on his own. Some you also seem to forget that two gods were members of the JLA not to long ago(not including Wonder Woman depending how you classify her at the time), plenty to defeat Thor.

Which Avengers team? If they've got Thor and Sentry I'd say avengers all the way, but without both it's no contest. JLA.

Although, for having superpowers, both teams get the snot beaten out of them alot, I'd go with the JLA. The new JLA still features more active members, and better super powers.
