Sometimes it happens but I would contact the Dr. just in case on the shortness of breath. I am also 6 months pregnant and sometimes I can't catch my breath and swelling is just a pregnancy thing unless it is severe. A little bit of swelling is normal you may just need more water or more exercise.

Unfortunately here is where it usually begins. The uterus is pushing against all your organs including your lungs which is probably causing the shortness of breath. Also, I do not know where you are from but if it is hot out that could induce the swelling. Try to soak your feet and keep them elevated. Also, even if the swelling does not hurt you please try and stay off your feet and relax alot because the swelling could cause problems for you. If you feel it is getting to the point that you cannot bare anymore call your doctor immediatly. Good Luck!

Short of breath is pretty normal. Someone's taking up your free space. Swelling may be trouble and should be brought to the attention of your doctor or midwife. Keep your body moving, even when sitting can help and a good relaxing soak, foot tub or bathtub is not only helpful, but really soothing.

Yes that is normal just try to keep your feet up as much as you can and drink plenty of water.Stay away from salt. And as far as the shortness of breathe goes it may get worse as you go along because the baby is push all of you organs up. Don't panic just try to take deeper breaths and sleep on your side. Congrats

yes, some ladies dont, but i know just walking to the kitchen to from my bedroom i had to catch my breath, cause sometimes too baby is sitting on your ribcage or just in a position your breathing is hard at time, they might move or not.....and swelling....i wear size 9 womens....i ended up wearing my husband's size 10 slip ons.....i had to take off my wedding rings, my hands were so huge.....all part of pregnancy, this is mostly water retention too...dont worry you will lose it when baby comes...just try to exercise a little too after baby is born...i had 4 kids, each one was different....i put on 20 lbs for my last child, 60 for my middle child, so each pregnancy will be different...good luck on the baby, this is only temporary and take care of your self as well...........

oooh yes, i remember!! perfectly normal - especially if you are carrying higher. i carried low and didn't get really big so i didn't get it till i was a little farther along. the swelling could be signs of toxemia though. check out a reliable website and see if you symptoms match. i might even call you doctor's office and just speak to a nurse. she will be able to reassure you and calm your worries or can schedule an appointment a little sooner so your doctor and get a look. i won't tell you not to worry. its normal! congratulations!

This is when the fun begins. Hang on & try to make the best of it. I had sausage feet for over 2 months to the point flip flops wouldn't fit anymore. Keep your tootsies up when ever you get the chance. Good luck!!!
