Very small as a percentage of the amount of the money the USA contributes. USA provides approximately 1/4 of the entire UN budget.

Perhaps other countries should sit down and shut up.

Not very big. Do you even understand your own question? US frequently enjoys observer status, most often in foreign elections. US also acts in an observer status in conflicts.

Since US primarily pays for the UN, votes should not only go their way, but the amount of contribution to the UN should dictate the number of votes on every topic.

US occasionally withholds small amounts of money allocated to particular actions, currently, primarily US tries to withhold those funds earmarked for abortions.

US has about the best credit history of any member of the UN.

The US should kick out the un from its shores. It should drop being in the un. It is made up of a bunch of loser 3rd rate countries trying to make themselves look or at least feel like they actually matter. The US is the only super power. We should start a new organization with Britain and Israel. Give these countries best friend status with priority trade status. Make up a charter that reflects our combined interests. If any country who wants to trade with us with better status then they must agree to the charter and actually buy something from us, not just dump their junk on our shores. With out ever buying anything.
The un expects the USA to be the policeman of the world. Last time I checked most policeman get paid for their work. So if any other country wants protection and they are are able to pay with either cash, goods or services. We charge them! If they can not afford then we should do charity work as long it is in our interest or because we are decent Christian nation for humanitarian causes. Not protecting Germany, France, or Japan. Who can afford to pay for protection! Then bad mouth us with a mouth full of our free food! If any country has terrorist who kidnaps our citizens or bombs our assets at home or any where on the planet. Then we go in get our people out if the host country does not deal with them swiftly and effectively. As long as our people are being feed proper meals given proper amounts of water., and safe let them keep them. We tell the host country what ever happens to our people and or assets we can guarantee that country and terrorist group will get ten times more of the same. And mean it! Then do it! There will be only one occurrence. Then the pu$$e countries will toe the line

As percentage of total budget, USA contributes more to the annual funding for UN. Additionally, USA are the largest owner of the tranche which funds the UN. UN falls apart without USA funding.
