I just realized I left my nice closed-toe heel shoes some where. I only have dorky flats, but they dont match anything. I am going to an interview. I have a pair of 4" brown open toe heels that match everthing in my closet. Is it okay to wear them???

Oh yeah. Go for it...

If you're confident and present yourself as being capable, your shoe selection shouldn't matter.

Take that interview by storm! Own it!

Here are some things to remember for your interview:

1. Do some research on the business before the interview.
2. Practice interviewing.
3. Go alone. Do not take children or friends.
4. Greet the employer with a handshake.
5. Make frequent eye contact.
6. Smile, be polite, and try to relax.
7. Listen carefully to the questions asked. Ask the interviewer to
restate a question if you are confused.
8. Answer questions as directly as possible.
9. Be upbeat and make positive statements.
10. If you've worked before, talk about what you learned from it.
11. Use examples of how your skills and abilities would fit the
job.
12. Bring your "Fact Sheet" with telephone numbers and
addresses of your references and former employers, just in
case you are asked to complete an application.

Yes, but if you feel uncomfortable in them, then I wouldnt wear them I would go get a new pair. Don't want to be worried about your shoes (appearance) on an interview, better to stay focused on the important stuff. Recent surveys say that the shoes you wear on an interview could mean the difference between getting a job or not. Its amazing but potential employers do look at what you are wearing and have a tendency to focus on your shoes.

It depends on the nature of the business you are interviewing at. If it's a very corporate and conservative setting then open toe shoes are not appropriate. If it's a laid back atmosphere that seems lenient then you should be fine.

Not if its for a job that would expect you to dress professionally. Go buy a cheap pair of closed-toe shoes. I know its not fun, but they really do notice things like that. Dont wear sling-backs either... closed toe and closed heel.

Good luck at your interview!

I think open toe are nice just make sure your toenails are manicured or painted at least. Nothing to bright maybe a nude that wont clash with the brown.

Wear hose and make sure your toenails look decent and you'll be fine. Use your personality to make up for any penalty breaking the "open-toed" rule would cause!

Good Luck!

Yes, it is, if your outfit works with the color. But make sure your toes are pretty and the polish is not garish.

I wouldn't wear open-toed shoes to an interview...very unprofessional.

4" heels are not very appropriate for an interview, unless you're applying to be a stripper.
