Why did The White Sox have such a hard time against The Royals? They played really good but overall, they suck! Why did this happen?!

I'm a lifelong Cubs fan. Do you really want to hear what I have to say about the Chicago White Sox? ;)

Because, as any baseball player will tell you, the game is not played on paper (meaning, the best team on paper does not always win). A team like the Royals, has nothing to play for, except being the spoiler.

If the Whitesox miss out on the playoffs by 2 or 3 games, the Royals can sit back and know amougst themselves, that they kept the defending world champs out of the playoffs.

Teams like KC, Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh, the Cubs...they all play the roles of spoilers, and try to ruin other teams chances of getting in.

I'm a Tiger's fan-even through their suck wad past ten years. I have always felt coming off an emotional series like they did against Detroit, they have a mental letdown. No matter what "Mouth" Guillen rants.
Remember, the Royals are just playing out the season, no pressure, playing loose. Plus they got Sweeney back. Had to give them a lift.

Well the Royals are playing really good right now. They even swept the Boston Red Sox

It happens, look at the AAA franchise here in Philly that has been masquerading as a MLB franchise all year. They roll over the Mets for a couple of games, everyone starts talking World Series, and ownership will never get driven out of town. The Sox will be fine, as will the Mets.

i understand your frustration i think it was because the first game we played we crushed the royals and it took a lot out of our players that we just didnt have it to sweep the series
