I saw a Film on (Ch4-Tv, England), in the early 1980's,a man and wife are in a house, with a painting of the House on the Livingroom wall,
One day, a "Ghostly Figure" appears in the Picture,and it starts moving towards the house, they look at the picture at the end of the film and the "Figure" is on the doorstep, they then hear knocking at their OWN front door............all i know is it was black and white Film, possibly 1933.. i have asked ch4 and IMDB,BFI but no luck so far... Many Thanks if you can assist me...

it wasn't a rod sterling one.. i remember it being a very crackly old picture and the date was 1933.. i am 95% sure of that..
also, the Mezzotint has never been made into a movie, as far as i know.. cheers!!

Wish i knew, i am shitting my self already, seen one similar, a painting with a lady in the distance, the owner of the the painting then die`s and then there are TWO figure`s in the painting.
