If they were kept in captivity and well fed then they'd be ok.

The Lion wouldn't really be able to kill the deer in later life even in the wild though it might try.

The lion needs to play fight in order to hone its skills as a hunter, the deer simply relies on instinct to run away.

Also, the deer lives in the woods and the Lion in the savannah

Yes it would. It's in their genes to be from the wild and feed on meat. Especially live meat. Careful it doesn't eat you too when it's real hungry. Lions are not like domestic cats or a parrot that you can train. Lions are not domesticated and there's no way you can change that. The only person it may hesitate to eat is you cause you're like the mother, but as I said when it does get really really hungry and there's nothing else but you....well he answers to the call of the wild.

Watch Madagascar.

“Remember natural instinct” there is the possibility that the lion east your deer soon or later. Maybe only a little scratch on the deer where the lion may smells blood and is done the beast that is inside will wake up.

Yes..it may or may not! If you leave that lion hungry with a deer around it, have no hopes of the deer surviving!

If only they stayed little!!! It is a lion's nature to hunt....unfortunately for the deer....and eventually the lion will be hungry and the deer will be close at hand....sigh.

Yeah, it would become instint to the lion, specially if they play fight and the lion accidently draws blood on the deer, the lion would want to finish it of!!

No, I wouldn't allow it - what a cruel notion.

I also have a wonderful recipe for venison and beer pie containing absolutely no suet but the proper short-crust pastry that you can never find in pubs nowadays.

Have you got any interesting recipes for lion meat? Is it tough or generally tender? I would be grateful if you could post any such recipes you have when you award the best answer (thanks).

yes it would because its in his nature to be the hunter the deer the prey he'd probably eat him a lot earlier when they were playing together. cats like to play with their food before they kill it

Even hamster siblings together from birth will eventually turn on each other according to Petco. So I highly doubt they can live peacefully when they mature.
