Give some thought to strength here. A front door takes a lot of traffic and constant opening and closing the door can put a lot of strain on the windowset. Similarly security might be an issue as it would not be too hard to take a running kick at this door and pull out the window and door as one.

Some units have steel subframes and you can get a steel section to reinforce the frame from lintel to floor. Check this out with your supplier.

you may want to purchase proprietary uPVC cleaners from Betterware and so on, yet motor vehicle polish will do the pastime admirably. If there's a crusty deposit on the uPVC then use T-decrease first, and then end off with a good high quality motor vehicle polish like Autoglym or similar. it is back-breaking artwork, yet curiously good even as executed, and does look after the uPVC from going-off back too quickly.

It depends on the manufacturer.

Some are designed to use a fixing strip others are desined to be fixed to intermediate posts others can be fixed togester. (Use an "H" moulding in between.)
