Why do Americans gripe about Islam?

when our invasion of Iraq has turned that nation into a theocracy, with Sharia law the law of the land?

I understand why Muslims (like yourself?) are confused about the motivation of the US government in the Middle East. I disagree that Iraq has become a theocracy, though. It is more like anarchy.

However if you want to understand what Americans have against Islam, you will have to understand that non-Muslim Americans have a different definition of "innocent" than Muslims do.


Muslims take great pride that Islam forbids killing an "innocent" person. The issue of who is innocent is then defined in the Qur'an.
(Quran 5:32 & 17:33)

Non-Muslims have a totally different view of "innocent". Non-Muslims generally feel that a mujahid who is struggling in the cause of God with a car bomb detonator, an airplane bomb detonator, or explosives taped to his midriff and wishing to be a shahid ... is going to kill "innocent" peole. Although, in Islam the people killed (unless they happen to be Muslim bystanders killed accidently) would not be considered to be innocent. The mujahid would be an honored shahid. It is just a matter of premeditated murder versus killing for a "just cause". I do hope that clarifies the issue somewhat.

There was a poem written by Robbie Burns criticizing Christians for killing in the name of God. It might be applicable for anyone who kills in the name of God...

Because Americans are pig-headed and quite stupid. They don't know the first thing about Islam, yet think that it preaches "killing all the infidels" and other things like that. In fact, it does no such thing and even states that Muslims can live in peace with Christians and other infidels as long as they are not attacked by them. They also watch FOX propaganda, which is blatantly false, without questioning it, so they think that Hezbollah, for example, is bent on the destruction of the Israeli state when in fact all it wants is Israel to follow international law and give the Palestinians their rights.

Its not just America who serves it up to Islam, the rest of the 'free world' see the Muslim world as a danger to all human freedom!..It sounds terrible, and is terrible, but eventually, Islamic fanatics will cause the total destruction of Islam!..So irate will the 'west' become at the madness of the fanatics that they will finaly act and destroy it!..Blind freddy can see this coming,,the world of islam cannot!...And that is the tragedy of it all!

Americans have the freedom of religion and Islam wants to convert everyone to believe their way and its usually through violence.And it is taught in the Koran that non-believers will be subjected to violence if not converted.Now want to ask that question again?????????The violence stems from Islamic extremist who strap bombs on children to kill other innocent people,what kind of cowardly religion is that.It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure this one out..,Stop the violence from the islamic people and we can all live in peace!!!!!!!!!!

It is a two faced Religion - on the one hand it preaches peace and non-violence and on the other hand it is intent on killing others even Muslims killing other Muslims It is such a primitive Religion with so much blood on its hands.
