Dry skin under the eyes is usually caused by lack of moisture. I used to have that until I started using an oil based eye make-up remover (I prefer Maybelline). Plus, don't rub your eyes or pick at the dry skin as that'll only make it worse. Make sure you put on moisturizer every morning and night, but use ONLY a creme meant for the eyes around them. They are specifically designed for the eyes and should be used as such. Again, get an oil based one. If you're willing to spend the money, Elizabeth Arden has some fantastic eye oils. As for make-up, again, use an oil based foundation around the eyes. DON'T use make-up that's meant for oily skin as it'll dry it out even more. Oh, and don't expect results overnight. It'll take some time before the dry skin is gone. Good luck!

For dry skin, use a high quality, more expensive lotion than the traditional $3.99 bottle at Wal-mart. Something with a toner and Vitamin E. Your eyes look 'sunken' because the cells under the eyes, which are like small balloons, tend to 'deflate' with age. The result is the skin above those cells tends to drop down. You need a mask or lotion that combats this effect. However, ALL available treatments are temporary.

I have the same problem and what I do is use Mary Kay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover. Then I use a Mary Kay Oil-Free Hydrating Gel (Normal/Oily Skin) This refreshing, oil-free gel transforms your skin by restoring its moisture balance and hydrating for up to 10 hours. The cooling gel absorbs immediately, leaving skin feeling silky smooth and perfectly quenched with a marine extract to help soften, plus vitamin E and green tea extract. Ideal for normal to oily skin.
