My golf clubs.
Boring to non golfers i know, however after years of alcohol and cocaine abuse, golf has replaced my addictive need and it is a healthy obsession.

It's a cold scientific fact that does it for me.
The fact that, if the Earth was (proportionally) 24 hours old, human beings appeared at less than one second to midnight.
Being less than a blink of the eye in the history of just one planet orbiting one of 400 billion stars in a galaxy which is merely one of 130 billion galaxies is fairly humbling.
Being so transient should mean focusing only on the people and things that really matter, and not sweating the small stuff.

Being a Christian - It makes you look at things in a totally different way. Even with bad things happening you are able to look at the situation, fully aware that things will pass, good will come out of it - and, most importantly of all, you are not on your own.

Doing volunteer work really adds a positive element to my life. In today's world a lot of people don't get to experience the benefits of teamwork or working for the greater good. It's nice to surround yourself with people who have good intent in their hearts.
Pets are great. It's nice to love and be loved for the bare bones of who you are. There is no one to impress and they don't ask for much. I love to walk my dog on a nice evening and just clear my head.
So often family is overlooked. I wish we could afford to take vacations together but we can't. I try to take advantage of the small things like shopping with my mom, or having us all sit around the table and eat dinner and joke around. When it all comes down to it, your loved ones are all that matters and to be able to spend time with them is really a treasure.

My pups! After 21/2 years and £5000 I finally managed to get them back from my ex husband. They looked terrible when I got them but after 4 months look fab. I missed them every day they were away and just coming down the stairs every morning and seeing them fills me with joy, even when they are monsters!! ~;-}

It has to be the presence of God in my life and his Joy.
My faith sustains me when I'm feeling down, I always turn to God in prayer, having said that I do get pretty down and damn negative sometimes but hey I'm not perfect...
